Prayer times look wrong
First refresh your location (Settings → Location → Refresh Location). Then check your madhhab — Asr differs between Hanafi and Shafi'i. If your mosque's timetable still differs slightly, use Prayer Time Adjustments (±30 min per prayer) to match it exactly.
I don't hear the adhan notification
Check that notifications are allowed for Vaktim in iOS Settings, your phone isn't in silent mode or a silencing Focus, and Adhan Sound is on inside the app. Then use Settings → Test Adhan Notification to verify. Full walkthrough: adhan notifications guide.
The widget says "Set up Vaktim" or doesn't appear
Open the app once so your location is set, then re-add the widget. Widgets require a full App Store build of Vaktim. See the widget setup guide.
The Qibla compass seems inaccurate
Move away from metal and magnets, hold the phone flat, and recalibrate with a figure-eight motion. Watch the accuracy indicator — see the Qibla guide for details.
How do I delete my data?
All Vaktim data lives only on your device. Settings → Data lets you reset your prayer history or reset the whole app; deleting the app removes everything. There is no server copy to delete.
Privacy, in plain words
Vaktim has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no servers storing your data. Your location is used on-device to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction; your preferences and prayer history are stored locally on your iPhone. Nothing is transmitted anywhere.
